If you have a website that you are trying to make a bit of money from then getting traffic is a key requirement. Sometimes you can try and pick up on short lived trends that may drive traffic in your direction. Unfortunately if you aren’t quick you may end up missing the boat. This type of activity can be described as trying to “Pull a Tnetennba” out of the bag.

The phrase comes from a UK comedy TV show called “The IT Crowd” where a new word was invented. This word was “Tnetennba” and knowing how people may go off searching for the word “Tnetennba” many bloggers tried to take advantage of it. They did this by making posts that referenced this word for no other reason than to generate traffic. On the show the word was used by one of the characters when they appeared in a TV show called countdown.

For some of the bloggers it no doubt worked and for some it probably didn’t but then name Tnetennba stuck and become synonymous with this type of activity.  So if you are trying to make money from blogging then look our for these type of opportunities and jump on them as quick as you can. You may find some bloggers look down on you for trying to get cheap traffic using a Tnetennba but if it works for you then I don’t see a problem. Personally I would never do something so cheap but only because after I made my first million I became less ruthless in my search for traffic. Not everyone is this fortunate though.
